ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT #10 RE: SFR ACCESSORY BUILDING SIZE
Pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 60.80, the Town of Springfield, Dane County, Wisconsin, hereby posts notice that at its regular Town Board Meeting held on October 4, 2022, the Town Board amended the Town Zoning Ordinance Related to Variances & Authorizing Increase in Accessory Building Size.
re: Variances: To enable owners to make reasonable use of their property if extraterritorial zoning is imposed on portions of the town, the Town Board adopted zoning ordinance amendment #9 permitting use &/or area variances as authorized by the Town. The Town Zoning Ordinance’s language on variances is amended to authorize a use and/or area variance where the action of an incorporated village or city has imposed a freeze on extraterritorial zoning/uses.
re: Accessory Buildings in SFR: To increase maximum size through a conditional use permit giving Town discretion to approve or reject proposed structures.
